Health & Beauty Treatments in Pregnancy

We are often asked about the safety of different skincare products and beauty treatments during pregnancy. Most women have an established beauty routine they’d like to continue. Other women are experiencing some of the less joyful side effects of pregnancy. Adult acne outbreaks are a particularly common problem!

You’ll be happy to know that we consider many common beauty treatments to be safe in pregnancy. However, some treatments are harmful so always double-check your own regime.

At the end of the day, beauty treatments are nice but usually not medically necessary. The following advice is also general and does not replace advice from your own doctor. Always discuss your own circumstances with your obstetrician or GP, especially if you have a high-risk pregnancy.

Icoone Laser Med

Icoone is an excellent and safe procedure for pregnant women. Foot massage eliminates the problem of sluggish limbs and relieves swelling. This is the only procedure that can be performed on the abdomen just two weeks after giving birth naturally, and 3 weeks after a cesarean section. Even if the scar is not healed yet, Icoone is then performed over the area of the cut. After the body is healed you can begin massaging the whole abdomen.

The ICOONE procedure can be performed from the third month of pregnancy, but the laser and LED light must be eliminated. ICOONE performed on the body of a pregnant woman improves microcirculation, reduces swelling and helps to get rid of excess water accumulated in the body.
