Laser hair removal is an effective way to deal with excess hair on the face and body. The essence of the procedure is simple: the laser beam acts on melanin, a pigment that is contained in the hair. By absorbing light energy, the pigment heats up and destroys the reproductive system of the hair, so that subsequent growth becomes impossible.
Preparing for the procedure
We recommend following these simple rules:
refuse to visit the beach or solarium 3 weeks before the procedure
3-4 weeks before the start of the laser hair removal course, you should stop pulling out the hair in any way (wax, shugaring, tweezers, mechanical epilator, etc.)
in 1 day or on the day of visiting the salon, shave off your hair with an ordinary machine – the procedure is carried out exclusively on smooth skin
immediately before the procedure, cleanse the skin in the areas of the body where hair removal will be done – no need to use deodorant, foundation, etc.
After the procedure
Laser hair removal treatments require a recovery period for the skin, so please:
Refrain from deep peeling of the face, if the procedure was on it
Do not use hair removal procedures associated with root hair removal (wax, tweezers, sugaring or mechanical epilator)
For 2-3 weeks, try not to sunbathe in the sun or in a tanning bed
Be sure to use a cream with a sun protection factor (SPF 30).
Contraindications
- acute diseases of the cardiovascular system or internal organs, viral diseases;
- bacterial and fungal skin diseases;
- diabetes
- pregnancy and lactation;
- exacerbation of herpes;
- taking antibiotics;
- skin injuries at the site of hair removal;
- self-tanning self-tanning for a week before the procedure;
- fresh tan (less than 2 weeks)
