VASCULAR LESIONS

  • Slp (short long pulse) exclusive to Biotec Italia, allows you to manage the two short or long pulse modes depending on the depth of the lesion.
  • With the use of a KTP crystal (KTiOPO4) it is possible to modify the 1064nm wavelength of the laser to 532nm, ideal for the treatment of superficial vascular lesions. Its excellent absorption coefficient also guarantees a high selectivity balance between haemoglobin and melanin.

What advantages does the Nd:YAG LP laser have in treating vascular lesions compared to traditional methods?

The Nd:YAG LP laser offers important advantages compared to injection therapy or electrocoagulation, allowing the treatment of vascular lesions even difficult to resolve. In addition, laser therapy is fast, less painful and minimally invasive.

How does the Nd:YAG LP laser treat hemangiomas?
Mature hemangioma can be very thick and invasive and therefore occur both on the superficial area of the skin and in the deeper one. Thanks to the Nd:YAG LP laser, it is possible to treat hemangioma on the surface and in depth. Few applications are required to treat most hemangiomas successfully.

How to prepare for a session:

Does laser hurt?

The sensation during treatment is very brief and is often described as a heated pin-prick for each laser pulse. Treatment times vary due to the size of the area to be treated and machine used, but a typical treatment takes approximately 15–30 minutes.

Self-Care Guidelines

A gentle sunblock and sun avoidance is important after this procedure. Do not rub or pick at the skin.
